Elevated Career Path is building a network of creative, highly organized Lifestyle Directors and Community Engagement Managers for current and future direct-hire opportunities with active-adult, master-planned, HOA, and condominium communities across the NJ/NY metro area.

In these roles, you will create programs, events, clubs, communications, and resident experiences that help neighbors connect and make full use of their community. You will balance creativity with strong execution, budget discipline, vendor coordination, safety awareness, and responsive resident service.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Build a vibrant community culture by creating programs that reflect resident interests, demographics, and available amenities.
  • Increase participation and resident satisfaction through welcoming communications, inclusive programming, and consistent follow-up.
  • Turn resident ideas into well-organized experiences with clear budgets, schedules, vendors, logistics, and contingency plans.
  • Strengthen collaboration among the management team, board, committees, clubs, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a balanced monthly and annual calendar of social, educational, wellness, cultural, recreational, and community-service programs.
  • Plan and execute events from concept through completion, including budgets, contracts, vendors, insurance requirements, registration, staffing, room setup, communication, and post-event review.
  • Partner with resident committees, clubs, volunteers, board members, facilities teams, food and beverage partners, instructors, entertainers, and local organizations.
  • Manage the lifestyle or activities budget; track expenses and revenue; process invoices; and provide accurate financial updates to management or the board.
  • Create newsletters, calendars, flyers, portal updates, email announcements, digital content, and other resident communications.
  • Welcome new residents and help connect them with programs, clubs, resources, and neighbors who share their interests.
  • Collect resident feedback, monitor participation, evaluate program performance, and adjust future offerings based on data and community needs.
  • Maintain vendor files, waivers, attendance records, contracts, permits, and other event documentation required by the employer or association.
  • Be present for scheduled evening, weekend, holiday, or off-site programs and coordinate safe, professional execution.
  • Support the community manager with resident engagement, special projects, amenity programming, and community-wide communications.

What You Bring

  • Two or more years of experience in lifestyle programming, events, recreation, hospitality, community engagement, resident services, senior living, parks and recreation, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events or programs at once while staying organized, responsive, and within budget.
  • Strong written communication, presentation, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
  • Experience working with vendors, contracts, invoices, calendars, registrations, and event logistics.
  • Comfort engaging residents with different interests, backgrounds, ages, communication styles, and accessibility needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email marketing, community portals, event-registration tools, and basic design or social-media platforms.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional local travel for programs or outings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming for active-adult, 55+, master-planned, HOA, condominium, country-club, or amenity-rich residential communities.
  • Experience supporting boards, committees, volunteer leaders, resident clubs, or community sponsors.
  • Knowledge of event safety, vendor insurance, food and beverage coordination, transportation logistics, or basic risk management.
  • Degree or certification in hospitality, recreation, event management, communications, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience is welcome.

Compensation & Benefits

Anticipated compensation is $52,000-$75,000 annually for full-time roles; select part-time roles may pay $25-$32 per hour. Actual pay is set by the employer based on schedule, community size, event volume, budget responsibility, and experience.
